LCMS Connections is a free service available to singles who meet the following criteria:

– Confirmed and practicing member of an LCMS congregation, or a congregation in full fellowship with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (a full list of partner church bodies can be found HERE)

– Age 20 and over

– Marriage-minded with regard to dating - that is, seeking a serious relationship that could lead to marriage, rather than casual or short-term relationships

Interested singles will first be asked to fill out a Personal Information Form consisting of various questions about themselves, as well as their current preferences for their future spouse. The form can be requested by filling out our website inquiry form below. Following submission of their information, singles will be contacted by LCMS Connections organizers to let them know their information has been received, and may be asked to follow up with organizers via phone or video conference if additional information is needed. We will save your information in our database, and regularly review it as we receive information from other Lutheran singles. You will be contacted with further information once a possible connection is found for you.

Once a possible connection is made, both parties will be contacted by LCMS Connections organizers. After we have confirmed that both are still single and hoping for a relationship, and are granted permission to share contact information, the man will be provided with the woman’s preferred contact info. He will be encouraged to make the first contact, in the interest of, from the outset, following the model of Christ and the Church. He will also have the opportunity to schedule a phone or video conversation with LCMS Connections organizers, for suggestions on successfully navigating early conversations and establishing the framework of a relationship. The woman will be notified that her contact information has been shared with a possible match.

After first contact, additional resources (articles, books, etc.) and email support for specific questions or concerns will be available for those who feel they would benefit from it. From there on, LCMS Connections organizers will check in every 3-4 months to see how things are going.

Please keep in mind that timelines for a match vary considerably from case to case. As you wait, please rest assured that you are being prayed for and will be actively on our radar as more singles’ information comes in.
